Excited to be back at the Anchorage Museum this Friday to be DJing at an After Dark events with the theme “Anchorage 2050.” I’m going to playing at the silent disco along with DJ GRE and DJ Cross. For the uninitiated, at a silent disco the music is broadcast on wireless headphones and then attendees can toggle through multiple channels if they want to skip songs, like a radio. Because the headphones have colored lights on them, you can tell who’s listening to each station. I did one a while back playing before One More Time, a Daft Punk tribute act, and it was a lot of fun.
This event will also feature live performances by bands Brux and Heel, live mural drawing by artist Ted Kim, live screen printing (bring a shirt or buy one on site) and a short movie program from Tromso International Film Festival. For food there will be street truck food vendors B Street Gumbo and Babycakes. Cocktails of the present and the future presented by Muse X Crush Bistro.
